孩子上美国幼儿园和小学

当您的小孩长大至两岁后，即可入学美国当地的幼儿园。

年龄:2岁至5周岁。

体检:

学生入学前必须做好入学医院检查，一般的小儿科可以提供这类的服务， 如小朋友在美国有保险， 可以抵很多的检验费， 保险的涵括相当的广泛， 建议您找有经验并有在美合法的执照服务专员为您解说。 一般来说必须做的检疫为验血、照X光及施打预防预苗。

保险:

美国所有的学校均要求学生必须有保险。如您已有购买保险， 您的保险将优先使用。 如无保险， 学校将强制购买保险后才允许入学。

签名制度:

每天当家长把自己的子女带来或离开学校时都必须签名，这是美国法律规定， 也是您的责任， 并且学校严格的控制与小孩无关的人员入校探视或接送您的小孩。 但如果您因为工作繁忙无法亲自接送， 您必须到校与校长详谈， 并须提供接送人员的资料，并保证您的小朋友在接送的过程中安全且准时送达学校或住家。 但是未满十六岁禁止接受委托。

午餐:

一般来说，美国的幼儿园学生每天可以在学校吃一顿热腾腾的午餐。 上午和下午均有点心， 有些学校须另加收点心费， 但一般均不需要。 家长可以选择自备午餐给您的小孩食用， 如果学生不在校内食用学校提供的午餐，而您又忘记准备时， 学校基本上都会另外提供一份三明治给您的小朋友。 学校并不允许家长为小孩准备(Snack Pack )点心盒到校，因为这种瓶装饮料和罐头食品在营养上会失去均衡。

药品:

家长必须有书面同意，学校才能给学生用药。 同意书必须有家长的签字、 病症名药物名称及用量…等。

健康:

美国的学校是为了保护学生的健康和正长学习特别呼吁家长。如果您的小孩有下列症状， 最好不要让小孩到学校来， 例如： 发热、 吐泻、 皮肤红斑、 乏力等。 您的小孩如果在学校内生病， 小孩将会被隔离， 然后校方将会尽速的通知您到校接您的小孩回家休息。如果您的小孩感冒痊愈， 或者过去24 小时内体温恢复正常， 将由学校负责人决定是否您的小孩回校上课。 如果您的小孩得了传染病，例如泡疹、 腮腺炎、 水痘、 猩红热、 白喉、 肠道虫病等， 应立即通知学校负则人， 以便学校通知其它家长采取措施进行预防。

生日:

美国是一个充满友善的民族，而且也非常喜欢开派对(Party )， 幼儿园的班导师会统计当月生日的寿星，统一庆贺生日。

玩具:

美国的教育体制与中国大陆或台湾或香港均有所不同，在美小孩并不需背书包上课。 蜡笔、 铅笔、 书本包括玩具都是由学校提供， 家长并不需费脑筋替小孩准备文具与书籍。

时间:

美国幼儿园长通常由早上七点开门至下午六点半结束，您可以选择半天课(早上或下午)也可选择全天课。 中午小孩会有九十分钟的午休，家长需替小孩准备私人枕头与棉被。 每星期五由家长带回清洗， 星期一上学时再送至班导师手上即可。

请假:

学生因事或因病请假需通知校方，并说明何时回校报到。 学校严格控制学生的到校与否， 如发现学生未到校或家长没有事先请假， 学校均会紧急联络第二紧急联络人并将此情形说明， 并追踪学生的行踪。

注册:

美国的注册均为容易， 美国政府鼓励学生上学， 不限定小孩或家长的移民身份。 如果身份黑掉或其它未能保持住身份的情形， 美国政府也都允许小孩的上学。但只能上私人学校， 学费相当昂贵(但是您的小孩如果在美出生均不会有身份上的顾虑， 因为小孩一出生即为美国公民， 可以享受美国公立学校的高质量教育与低廉学费)。
